Century City is inspired by the Fox Plaza building in LA, famously known for its appearance in the Die hard movie as the Nakatomi HQ.

I first visited California in 1996 my first time on a plane out of Ireland, so a huge trip for me, my friend took me there to a rather cheesy night club that was running in the basement of the building but was great to be in such a well known building. A few more times in the late 90's I travelled back to LA and often saw the building in the distance as we drove around the sprawling city.

So after a visit in late 99' I returned to rainy old Dublin and wrote this short piece and the title just jumped out at me as we were also rapidly approaching the end of the 20th century and heading into a new millennium and I felt the track has a certain futuristic feel.
