The title track "Skywave Transmissions" was conceived in spring of 2023.

The initial sketch had sat on my hard drive through the rest of the year due to my ongoing concussion symptoms.

At the beginning of 2024 I decided to return to the track and proceeded with a live digital mix and then with some editing of the track arrived at the thirty minute plus final version.

I guess this fits in within a certain meditative ambient feel but has certain elements that fit with the concept of the earths natural magnetic field and how science and modern technology has developed methods to use these phenomena as a means of driving communication.

Skywave refers to the electromagnetic wave reflected or refracted from the ionosphere and propagated in the form of a guided wave between the ionosphere and the Earth's surface. Since the skywave can propagate over large distances, it has been widely used in long-distance communication.

Upon returning to the track I felt that the piece needed a companion with a slightly darker feel. I set to work on my Moog Grandmother and created various shifting modulated drones with a certain ominous feel & some sequences that could drift in and out that suggest various radio waves bouncing back and fourth through our atmosphere, this track became HF Radiation.
