AndyMio So powerful. So peaceful. When I heard "Circadian Rythm", I was admiring the trees on the mountains. The morning sun was just lighting up the mist that was drifting over them. The music went so wonderfully with it. Thank you, dear Michael, for this beautiful moment. Favorite track: Circadian Rhythm.

Paul Mason Another excellent release from Mick. I'm amazed at the quality of music that he continues to produce time after time. Each of the three tracks are wonderful, and distinct from each other. I'm already getting much joy from it. Thanks Mr Chillage.

Zeitgeber 12:26

about

In early May of 2023 I had an accident on my BMX bike and suffered a fracture to my skull just above my eyebrow and also a concussion as a result.

Just before this accident I had created a new patch on My prophet Rev2 which kind of reminded me of those eerie bell like tones sometimes heard on Aphex Twin/Locust records. During my concussion I found it very difficult to focus on anything and creating music was difficult, but three weeks later I went back to the patch and built up a track mainly utilising this sound in various ways.

Although not fully recovered and working in short time spans of maybe 20/30 minutes per night a piece began to emerge and within a few days I knew I had the bones of something worthwhile. As my condition improved I finally arranged and mixed the track which became "Supraorbital" [Thanks to Dave @ Carpe Sonum for the title] a twenty five minute piece which has two distinct movements.

The other two tracks "Circadian Rhythm" and "Zeitgeber" were pieces which I had been working on prior to my accident and with a bit of additional work they seemed to fit the theme that had developed.

The title track "Circadian Rhythm" & "Zeitgeber" relates to the cycle of our sleep pattern which now had become somewhat disturbed for me as I slept much of the day and now had trouble sleeping at night, thankfully this has pretty much resolved.

A "zeitgeber" is any external or environmental cue that entrains or synchronizes an organism's biological rhythms, usually naturally occurring and serving to entrain to the Earth's 24-hour light/dark and 12-month cycles.
