Temporal Cities was written & recorded in late Autumn of 2022.
Initially inspired by a rather wild and experimental patch that I had created on my MS20 mini that is prominent within the first twelve minutes of the title track.
It's rather angular and morphing tones and shards of noise reminded me of architecture that can be often brutal & sleek, other synths merge that create a sense of shifting shapes and structure, almost like a cities passing skyline as you cruise on a nearby freeway and observe the decaying and newly built structures.

As the track progresses there is a a rather significant mood and tonal change, a lighter more melodic feel with a minimalistic slomo bass heavy groove but with elements of the first part are echoed deep within the mix and return again in full to close the track.

As my ideas came together I decided that I wanted to create something that merged Ambience and rhythmic structures. I worked solidly on the three main tracks over the space of a week or so.

Overall I feel there's a connected theme, although each piece has its own identity. I've also included an Alt version of "Hypnotides" along with an Ambient mix of "Oblique Horizons" which gives this album a total running time of approximately ninety five minutes of music.
